Founded in 1981, Metroval began operations under the name of Tecnobrás, producing meters positive displacement oval gears under license from German company Bopp & Reuther. It was in 1988 that the company changed its name to Metroval – born from the key words of his performance at that moment: metrology and oval, the shape of the essential gear manufactured meters. In 1989, already installed in the building where today is headquartered in New Odessa, city of São Paulo, had doubled its number of customers and Petrobras was responsible for a significant part of its order book.
